Some of you have read my Vampire Babylon series, and you're already familiar with this "girl who has no name." She made an appearance in a Dawn Madison novella, Raising the Darkness, but what happened to her after she literally got burned in that story then disappeared?

When I was invited to write this novelette for the Kicking It urban fantasy collection, I decided that this character was too fun to die--she had too many adventures left in her. So in this story she becomes her own heroine. But a novelette about her wasn't enough, so I wrote a novel about her called Shadows Till Sunrise. I hope you check it out, because I'd love to write even more urban fantasy romances about her and Philippe!

A quick read and intro into the world of Lilly who is in many different books and series from what I researched. I am a New Orleans gal and I love reading anything with a good New Orleans twist or that is set in NOLA. 'It deals with supernatural/fantasy/voodoo and its a fun read, I found a few places to be a bit "silly" that were meant to be serious, but that's what's fun about reading. You read to enjoy, to escape into another world/place and this book did that for me.I will be honest, I won't run out and read all the books in the series dealing with Lilly the main character, mainly because my TBR pile is HUGE, but I will order a couple more of them and read them when I'm between serious reading (classics, or things I should have read in hight school and college) I always try to read a fun book and then a serious book, so sometimes my fun books have to wait.

A woman wakes up in a hotel room with no memory of not only not only how she got there but also no idea who she is. She has vine boots on. Lilly (whom we know but she doesn't) runs down the streets n New Orleans. There is a shadow with red eyes stalking her and the fight.
Lilly gets away from the shadow and runs into a voodoo shop and meets psychic Philippe Angier
Philippe had a vision that Lily (still does not know her name) would arrive. As he is holding her hand he sees what her life has been like.
The duo go and find a witch named Amari who may be able to help
This short story is the prequel to the Lilly Meratoliage Series

Loved it! I would love to know what happens next! I like that it had action, witches and vampires, and just a glimpse of a love story.

I did rather enjoyed the story; however, a bit more back ground on the lead character would have been nice.
